Description

The TPS54060A device is a 60V,0.5A,step downandnbsp;regulator with an integrated high side MOSFET.Current mode control provides simple externalandnbsp;compensation and flexible component selection.Aandnbsp;low ripple pulse skip mode reduces the no load,andnbsp;regulated output supply current to 116andmu;A. Using theandnbsp;enable pin,shutdown supply current is reduced toandnbsp;1.3uA, when the enable pin is low.

Under voltage lockout is internally set at 2.5V, butandnbsp;can be increased using the enable pin. The outputandnbsp;voltage startup ramp is controlled by the slow startandnbsp;pin that canandnbsp;also be configuredandnbsp;forandnbsp;sequencing/tracking. An open drain power goodandnbsp;signal indicates the output is within 94% to 107% ofandnbsp;its nominal voltage.

A wide switching frequency range allows efficiencyandnbsp;and externalcomponentsize to beoptimized.Frequency fold back and thermal shutdown protectsandnbsp;the part during an overload condition.
